FIBER laser BYSTRONIC BySprint FIBER 6520, built in 2016 in Switzerland, uses innovative fiber optic technology for precise cutting of thin sheets made of, among others, of carbon steel, copper and brass. The reliable resonator provides the user with an extremely powerful laser beam with a thickness of only a few μm, thanks to which the highest energy efficiency is achieved while maintaining low operating costs.
The design of the laser cutting machine was designed for optimal operator access to the working space. The working area, 6,500 mm long and 2,000 mm wide, has micro-welds to support small, long and thin elements and a special protective system used on the entire surface of the work table to ensure maximum safety for the operator during work. The axis movement is achieved by a low-speed, high-torque direct drive, ensuring ultra-fast acceleration and long service life.
The BySprint 6520 fiber laser uses a cutting head with an integral capacitive sensor and a special ByPos Fiber function to automatically set the focal length. The focal length setting is optimally adapted to the range of materials and production, thanks to which cutting with a 6 kW laser is distinguished by excellent processing precision, and the edges of the details are characterized by unprecedented smoothness without any unevenness
The BySprint FIBER 6520 fiber laser is controlled using a BYSTRONIC ByVision CNC controller with a touch screen or a remote control. The controller allows you to modify cutting parameters directly on the operator panel, save cutting plans and automatically activate, deactivate and set micro connectors. Cutting plans are loaded in just 5 seconds, minimizing downtime and increasing machine productivity. The total weight of the laser cutting machine is 21,500 kg.
