Used Mazak Space Gear 48 MK2 MKII Mark II. This machine has all of the bells and whistles, such as 3D cutting head, Rotating chuck for Tube attachment for tube cutting, drop conveyer that would move all scrap drops into a bin, and more! This machine is still currently running production and is powered up, so you’re welcome to inspect it or send your Mazak tech. The machine has 45,571 hours and it will go up as we’re still currently using it.
This machine is great for companies or shops that does a lot of metal fabrication work. It did a lot of stainless steel cutting, including tube cutting and bent tube cutting for heat shields since this machine was original producing parts for a performance exhaust manufacturer.
The Turbo and inverter was replaced back in 2022, which costed around … to do. Only selling the machine due to changing over to water jet machine for thick aluminum cutting, otherwise, we would keep it.
Note, this machine was built in Japan back in 2002. It’s a 22 year old machine that requires an experience laser operator and programmer to run it. It was a state of the art machine in 2002 which costed approximately … when it was purchased new. We are the 3rd owner and the 2nd owner was a well know exhaust manufacturer that took great care of it, doing all of the necessary maintenance. When we purchased this machine, we had all of the maintain done as well before we put it into service, which was 1 year ago by a Mazak service tech.
