This is an S-4-S Scanner with 64Bit Software
ULTIMIERS LATERAL FEEDER DECK
With Two (2) Top and Bottom Pinch rolls
(7) chains approximately 18’ feet long and one pinstop set to help control fence pressure backlog
The bottom pinch rolls are driven via an AC motor and controlled from the saw Beckhoff and touch screen

ULTIMIERS “ULTI-VISION S4S SCANNER
Scans all 4 sides of the board automatically locating defects to be chopped out
This scanner is capable of scanning for length, width, wane, holes, splits, mineral streaks, color, custom, and compound defects top and bottom and knots and rough on the sides
The scanner can scan at a variable speed from 100 to our standard speed of 250 feet per minute
The system includes the Ultimizers Inc. UV64 Scanner software, the computer, mouse, keyboard and monitor all in an enclosed cabinet
In addition to the UV64 software the neural network software is also included to train the system to see custom defects

Conveyor for a Vision System Running 20’ Lumber
The Smart belt conveyor has up to 21 photocells mounted on the fence line and a variable speed drive to feed boards as close together as possible without butting
This is also the scanner conveyor
It is 1 belt that wraps under the scan frame to insure that the belt speed is always the same both before and after the scanner
This has a heavy duty 3 roll hold down system before the scanner and an encoder on the conveyor that feeds directly to the cameras and computer give our scanner the best length accuracy and consistency available on the market today
The frame is a heavy duty steel tube frame with all controls accessed from the saw touch screen
ULTIMIZERS DUO-DRIVE 500GB
The “Duo-Drive 500GB” is a High Speed Automatic Chop Saw
This saw has a patented top and bottom drive belt system which is driven by 2 individual AC servo motors
While belt speeds are matched to average part length, it has the ability to reach 900 FPM in an 12” cut
As many as 3 short FJ cuts per second and 8,000LF an hour have been witnessed in real world production
We are able to maintain accuracy at these high speeds due to an overhead encoder roll running directly on the surface of the wood
The arbor motor is 10 HP and the crank motor is a 21 peak HP (aprox.) AC servo motor
The arbor arm is the strongest and most rigid on the market insuring quality square cuts
After the cut there is a drop roll assembly to remove small waste immediately insuring parts are sorted correctly downstream
LINEAR SORTING CONVEYOR The conveyor is approx. 145’ long overall with, (1) Waste Blow off, (6) diverters for longer parts, (16) finger joint punch offs and (1) over the end sort location
The sorter controls are in the saw Beckhoff and control settings are via the saw touch screen
