Base machine prepared for the installation of a 2-axis rotating mechanism. Minimum distance from the headstock nose to the table surface: 118.5 mm.

Main drive with AC motor, cooled and pressurized by air with tool change monitoring. 10.0 kW at 100% duty cycle, 18.0 kW at 25% duty cycle up to 40,000 rpm, maximum torque 9 Nm, acceleration from 0 to 40,000 rpm or deceleration in 2.4 seconds.
Drilling capacity Ø 12 mm, tapping capacity M 8, milling capacity 30 cm³/min (Steel E335). The main drive will be limited to 36,000 rpm. Monitoring of the CHIRON head with a graphical display checking vibrations during the machining process. Dynamic warning alarms for the operator, configuration for shutdown and emergency stop in case of collision.
