Features
This Double Column Type Vertical Turning Lathe is manufactured by abundant HOMMA’s experience of large size machine tool engineering technologies which based on ideas and know-howc of hi-productive machining for iarge size component parts.
1. Major components — manufacturing and material
Double column hosing — Consists of both left and right side column and
beam betveen columns, columns and beam are firmly connected by bolts.
Columns: Weldment of steel plate (JIS SS400. annealing of welding stress) Box shape construction Beam: Same as columns
Bed Weldment of steel plate (JIS) SS4OO. annealing of welding stress) 3-pieces construction Table Castings – 1 piece construction (JIS FC3OO. annealing of casting stress)

3. Ram and Ram head
Ram takes 500mm dimension of section and 4-faces of ram are guided by
Tercite B coated face with precision scraping, therefore hi-rigidity and precise movement is assured.
Ram head takes liner bearings between upper face of cross slide guide face and contacts to front and
lower face of cross slide guide face by Tercite B coated face with precision scraping, therefore
hi-rigidity and precise movement is assured.
4. Cross rail
Cioss rail takes enough dimension of contact face to columns
(width ot height and depth of front-rear direction) , therefore hi-rigidity and stability is assured. Compensating function of deflection for span: Wedge blocks are mounted by equal distance space between Cross rail body portion (Weldment of steel plate) and Saddle guide rail portion (Castings)
