YCM FP66A CNC machining center was built in 2013 in Taiwan. The machine, equipped with components from renowned brands and state-of-the-art technology, is used for precision 3D machining of workpieces with a maximum weight of 500 kg. The machining process is performed by a powerful spindle, rotating at a maximum speed of 16000 rpm, and cutting tools taken from a 30-position magazine. The spindle moves in the X,Y,Z axis on roller guides of the Japanese company IKO with ball-and-screw systems, directly driven by digitally controlled servomotors. This solution ensures high positioning accuracy and repeatability over a long period of use.
The FP66 A CNC vertical machining center also features a high-quality cast-iron gantry structure, which, correlated with the extra-wide base resting on the ground, minimises the effects of bending torque resulting from the hanging mass of the spindle. There is also a wealth of equipment, including e.g. a HEIDENHAIN-branded touch probe and a perfectly optimised CNC control with many useful functions that simplify the machining and operation of the machine. The YCM milling center weighs 8000 kg.
